FAQ

How long does the process take?

If you fill out our free assessment, we'll get back to you within 24 hours! After that it depends on your eligibility.

The guidance phase usually takes 1-4 weeks depending on what part of the process you're at, and the submission phase takes anywhere from 2-6 months to have your application submitted and approved (most Express Entry applications are processed within 3-6 months!).

How much will the entire process cost?

Besides our costs listed above, you should expect to cover:

  • Government filing fee: $1,040 CAD (more if you're including family members)
  • English/French exam: ~$200 CAD
  • College/university degree assessment: ~$150 CAD
  • Other fees (translating documents, shipping, etc.): ~$100 CAD

Do I need to take a language test?

Yes - no matter where you're from or what background you have, you will need to take a language test. We will walk you through the steps needed as part of our Guidance Package, and even provide a PDF resource with tips and strategies to help study as we have taken accredited language tests ourselves.

What documentation will I need?

This will depend on your situation, but in general you'll need a degree assessment, medical exam, police certificate, proof of funds, proof of work history and more. We will give specific direction and requirements as part of the Submission phase of the process.

How long does the visa last for?

Permanent residency is granted for 5 years. You then have the option of renewing your PR card and/or applying for citizenship.

Can I bring my family?

Yes, you can include your immediate family (spouse and/or kids) in your application. Note that this will increase the government filing fee and documentation required (such as a marriage contract, birth certificate, etc.).

Do I need a job to apply?

No - while it will help with your eligibility and score calculation, a Canadian job offer is not required.

What are my chances of being approved?

We can't do a fair evaluation until we complete an assessment of your situation and see the documentation to support it. Immigration decisions rely on many variables such as medical history, criminal history, eligibility, legitimacy of documents and more, so we cannot give a suggestion without seeing your documentation.
